We Honor Veterans Program

This is a collaboration between the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the Veterans Administration, designed to help hospice professionals meet the unique needs of dying Veterans.

Seasons Hospice has afforded me the honor of visiting these veterans and I could not be more grateful.  Our visits help our veterans and their families to open the door to the past.  They relive a time when they had the most important job they will ever have and I have the privilege of walking along with them.

Supporting Veterans

Taking the time and making the effort to honor those who have served our country is not a new concept for Seasons Hospice. It has always been our practice to inquire about the military history of our patients and to thank them for their service. In 2007, with the help of community members committed to veteran causes, we established our Veterans Grant to provide financial assistance for stays at our hospice house, and we began working with volunteers to make veteran visits to those who expressed interest. We Honor Veterans is an extension of these efforts, and by participating, we have access to support and tools that help us to do even more for our veterans.
